Cookie Policy

Last updated: October 9, 2026

Applies to Qnest (https://www.qnest.top). Questions about anything below? Reach us at the address at the end of this page.

1. Summary

Qnest is built to work without tracking cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site trackers or browser fingerprinting, and we do not sell browsing data. The only identifiers stored in your browser are the ones that keep you signed in.

2. What Is Stored in Your Browser

Access token: when you sign in, a signed token is kept in your browser's LocalStorage so that your requests can be authenticated. It stays on your device, expires, and is removed when you sign out.

Refresh token and device identifier: if you stay signed in, a rotating refresh token bound to a device identifier is also stored. It expires 90 days after issue and lets us keep that one device signed in without your password; we record when the device was last seen.

Preferences: theme or interface choices may be kept locally so the site looks the way you left it.

3. No Tracking Cookies

We do not set third-party advertising cookies or analytics identifiers from our own code, and there is no consent banner forcing you to accept tracking. You do not need to accept cookies to read the site.

4. Third-Party Code

The operator can add custom snippets (for example a statistics counter or an advertisement tag) through the site settings. If such code is enabled it belongs to the third party and is governed by that provider's policy, and this page will be updated to list it. Requests post content includes no such code by default.

5. Server-Side Records

Independently of browser storage, our server writes short-lived request logs containing IP address and user agent. These are used for security, rate limiting and abuse investigation. They are not used to build profiles and are not shared outside the operation of the service.

6. How to Control It

Signing out clears your access token from LocalStorage. Your browser's "Clear site data" (or site settings → LocalStorage) removes everything this site has stored. Blocking storage for this site will sign you out and may prevent features such as publishing content from working.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; because we do not rely on tracking cookies, this will not reduce any functionality beyond staying signed in.

7. Do Not Track

There is no common standard for handling Do Not Track signals. We do not track visitors across sites, so the practical effect of DNT on this site is already what the setting asks for.

8. Changes

If we change what we store in browsers, this policy will be updated and the "Last updated" date will change before the change takes effect.
